The Erasmus+ training course “AI Toolbox for Youth Workers – Shaping the Future of Non-Profits” successfully concluded in Bansko, Bulgaria, bringing together youth workers, educators, and NGO representatives from Bulgaria, Turkey, Romania, Serbia, Italy, Latvia, and Portugal. Over nine days, participants explored how Artificial Intelligence can be used as a creative and practical tool to support learning, communication, and inclusion in the youth sector.
The training focused on strengthening participants’ digital competencies through a series of interactive workshops, collaborative exercises, and creative challenges. Using non-formal education methods, participants engaged in experiential learning that combined teamwork, critical thinking, and innovation. They experimented with a wide range of AI tools for content creation and communication — including Leonardo AI, DALL·E, Canva, Designs.ai, Durable, Gamma, Rytr, Easy-Peasy AI, Perplexity, and Grok.
Throughout the sessions, participants learned how to use AI to design logos, posters, and visual identities, create social media campaigns, videos, and presentations, and even build simple websites for youth organisations. The programme also addressed key ethical and practical aspects of using AI, such as data privacy, inclusivity, and digital responsibility.
One of the main results of the project is the creation of the AI Toolbox for Youth Workers — a practical digital guide that presents real AI tools, advantages and disadantages of using it, as well as tips on how they can be applied in communication and non-formal education. The toolkit is now available in all partner languages, making it accessible to a wider community of youth workers and educators across Europe.
