I Skills Hub – Adult Education in Digital Competences is an 18-month Erasmus+ project designed to help adults, educators and organisations develop practical skills for using artificial intelligence in learning and work.

The project focuses on real applications of AI – from creating content and choosing the right tools to understanding privacy, copyright, bias and the limitations of AI-generated information.

⇒ What does the project aim to achieve?

AI Skills Hub aims to make AI more understandable, accessible and useful for adults in their everyday professional and learning activities.

The project will:

• develop practical AI skills among adult educators, trainers, NGO professionals, adult workers and learners;
• show how AI can support everyday tasks such as creating texts, presentations, images, videos and learning materials;
• help adults understand how to choose and use different AI tools depending on the task;
• strengthen critical thinking when working with AI-generated information, including recognising bias, misinformation and hallucinations;
• improve awareness of privacy, data protection, copyright and responsible AI use;
• provide accessible learning opportunities for adults with lower digital skills or limited previous access to AI training;
• strengthen the capacity of the partner organisations to integrate AI into adult education and their everyday work.

⇒ What will happen during the AI Skills Hub project?

1. Initial Partner Meeting – Bulgaria
The three organisations meet to establish the common approach to the project, plan the activities and develop a shared framework for the learning materials, workshops and project results.

2. Local AI Literacy Workshops – Bulgaria, Romania and Poland
Each partner delivers 5 practical online workshops, or 15 workshops in total, for adults. The workshops cover five areas: ethical use of AI; privacy, data protection and copyright; prompt engineering and image generation; practical AI tools for content creation; and comparison of AI chatbots. Participants learn through demonstrations, practical tasks and real-life examples rather than technical theory. The workshops are designed to be interactive and focused on practical application.

3. Internal AI Hackathons
Participants and partner teams put their new skills into practice by using AI to work on concrete challenges and create digital content, campaigns and media outputs. The activity turns the knowledge gained through training into practical experience.

4. AI Essentials Guide Development Workshop
The partners work together to develop and refine the project's main practical resource – AI Essentials Guide: Transforming Adult Learning & Work. The Guide brings together useful approaches, tools and practical guidance that adults and educators can apply in their own work.

5. Dissemination Events
The project results, learning materials and practical experience are shared with educators, organisations, institutions and other interested adults. The aim is to make the developed resources useful beyond the people directly involved in the project.


⇒ What will AI Skills Hub create?

The main project result will be the AI Essentials Guide: Transforming Adult Learning & Work – a practical, step-by-step toolkit available in English, Bulgarian, Romanian and Polish.

The project will also produce:

• AI learning materials and workshop content that can be reused in adult education and training;
• digital content, campaigns and media outputs developed through the AI Hackathons;
• evaluation and impact results showing what participants learned and how their AI competences developed;
• an AI Skills Certification as an internal tool for recognising the skills developed through participation in the project.

Together, these activities and resources aim to help adults move beyond simply knowing about AI towards being able to use it effectively, critically and responsibly in real situations.
