Raise Your Voice, Take the Lead! – Erasmus+ Youth Exchange
Project: Raise Your Voice, Take the Lead
Project number: 2025-1-BG01-KA152-YOU-000304276
Programme: Erasmus+, KA152-YOU – Youth Exchanges
Hosting organisation: Get Involved Association, Bulgaria
Location: Plovdiv, Bulgaria
Dates: 27 September – 3 October 2026
From 27 September to 3 October 2026, Get Involved Association coordinated and hosted the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Raise Your Voice, Take the Lead” in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, bringing together young people from Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Poland, Lithuania, Italy and Cyprus.
The project was implemented under Erasmus+ KA152-YOU – Youth Exchanges, focusing on youth participation, active citizenship and activism.
The exchange focused on youth participation, active citizenship and activism, encouraging young people to explore different ways of making their voices heard, taking initiative and contributing to positive change in their communities.
Throughout the exchange, participants explored youth participation, active citizenship and different forms of activism - from digital campaigns and creative activism to grassroots initiatives, advocacy and community action. Through interactive workshops, discussions and teamwork, they shared experiences, learned from one another and discovered new ways to make their voices heard and contribute to positive change.
One of the highlights was the Participant-Led Activism Labs. One of the highlights of the exchange was the Participant-Led Activism Labs, which gave young people the opportunity to move from participating in activities to designing and facilitating their own learning experiences. Working in five mixed international teams, participants were challenged to develop interactive sessions related to activism, civic engagement and creating social change. Each team was responsible for developing its concept, choosing appropriate non-formal education methods, planning the structure of the session and preparing activities that would actively involve the rest of the group. With guidance and support from the facilitators, participants transformed their ideas into practical workshops, games, simulations and collaborative learning experiences. The following day, the teams took the lead and facilitated their own Activism Labs for their peers. This approach placed young people at the centre of the learning process, giving them the freedom to experiment, express their creativity and take responsibility for creating meaningful experiences for others.
Beyond exploring activism, the Labs offered valuable opportunities to develop transferable competences such as teamwork, communication, leadership, creativity, problem-solving, time management, adaptability and facilitation skills.
The exchange also encouraged participants to think about how they could apply what they had learned back home, developing ideas for local activities and initiatives to engage other young people in their communities.
