Grassroots Sport for All

The Erasmus+ project “Grassroots Sport for All” - 2020-2-ES02-KA105-015865 , is designed to promote social inclusion of children with disabilities through grassroots sport. It brings together youth workers and organizations from different European countries to exchange good practices, develop innovative methods, and strengthen local and international networks for inclusion. The programme includes training sessions, workshops, and intercultural activities where participants co-create tools, campaigns, and educational materials that can be transferred to their home communities.

Beyond sport as a physical activity, the project positions grassroots sport as a cultural product – a shared practice that conveys values of solidarity, tolerance, and equality. The activities serve not only to train participants but also to generate cultural outputs such as awareness campaigns, storytelling initiatives, visual materials, and inclusive events that promote diversity and non-discrimination. In this way, the project contributes to the cultural sector by producing new forms of cultural content, fostering intercultural dialogue, and disseminating a culture of inclusion across Europe.

Programme includes:

Training sessions – capacity building for youth workers on inclusive methods in sport and education.

Workshops & group work – co-creation of activities, games, and inclusive sport practices that can be adapted in local contexts.

Exchange of good practices – sharing experiences, challenges, and solutions from different countries.

Intercultural activities – encouraging dialogue, teamwork, and cultural exchange among participants from diverse backgrounds.

Development of resources – educational materials, awareness campaigns, and methodologies to be used and disseminated after the project.

Community engagement – promoting activities that raise awareness of inclusion in schools, sports clubs, and local communities.
