"Enjoying Europe" is a youth exchange that took place from 23 May to 31 May 2023 in Puente Henil, Spain and was organised by AJU MESA LOCAL JUVENTUD PUENTE GENIL. During the project, young participants from 4 countries - Bulgaria, Greece, Italy and Spain had the opportunity to learn new ways to spend their free time and create for themselves an alternative daily life. The main objective of the project was promoting and creating leisure style in youth and youth groups. This was achieved through nonformal learning methods and activities to improve emotional intelligence through self-awareness, self-esteem, self-confidence, empathy and other social skills. The project successfully promoted intercultural communication and enriched the participants' knowledge of foreign cultures and traditions.
Here you can see the feedback of the participants from the Bulgarian team:
Eugenia - Adriana Giotaki 18 years old from Sofia, Bulgaria
"In 10 days in the project I learned a lot about Spanish culture and created amazing memories with the participants from Greece, Italy, Spain and Bulgaria. The project was fun, dynamic and included many interesting activities. I managed to make new friends and discover new places around Spain. I enjoyed it very much and am grateful for the experience."
Borislav Punov 17 years old from Sofia, Bulgaria
"For me this project cannot be described in text... but I will try to recreate it. It was an experience but without end, it is still going on and will. The people were strangers, but they were, not anymore. They became close friends, some even family in the span of 10 days and I believe they will remain so. But in a nutshell, I would call it, 'accidental home', the people there managed to make it so"
Mahmud Sebaydin 17 years old from Sofia, Bulgaria
"This is my first Erasmus+ project that I joined thanks to you. In this project I met a lot of people and got to know other cultures and countries, it gave me a lot of memories and experiences and I would definitely like to travel again."
Ivet Todorova 18 years old from Sofia, Bulgaria
"The project gave me a great opportunity to develop and learn about the traditions and customs of another country. I also improved many qualities such as speaking fluent English, my communication skills, and teamwork. I spent 10 days full of emotions and a lot of fun. I met unique people and I am thankful that I came across these innovations and this particular project"
Viktoria Bolgradova 23 years old from Sofia, Bulgaria
"The project Enjoying Europe was an unforgettable experience full of emotions, adventures and lessons learned. The different leisure activities that the facilitators showed us not only enriched each one of us culturally, but also helped to create new international friendships and build a new useful and enjoyable lifestyle. I am grateful for participating in such an experience, for the knowledge and skills I gained and for the memories that will stay with me forever."
Kiril Kolev 32 years old from Sofia, Bulgaria.
"My participation in the Enjoying Europe project reminded me that it's not all work. The activities in the project have helped me to enrich my leisure time, and I have also been able to make contacts with participants from other countries in order to make friends and work together. Another reason I am grateful for my participation in the project is that I was able to enrich my knowledge of Spanish and English, also to learn more about the history and culture of Spain. Thank you for giving me this opportunity"
