We are happy to announce the launch of the “NurtureU” project, implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme and focused on supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of young people through innovative digital tools and accessible online resources.

What is the main idea behind the project?

The project was created in response to the growing levels of anxiety, depression, and emotional stress among young people, as well as the limited access to timely psychological support, especially in smaller communities and among vulnerable groups.

For this reason, “NurtureU” will develop a free online platform available in Bulgarian, Portuguese, and English, offering practical resources, exercises, interactive tools, and useful information aimed at supporting young people’s mental health. The platform will be designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and closely connected to the real needs of young people.

Among the platform’s main features will be materials for coping with stress and anxiety, podcast episodes with psychologists and therapists, self-reflection exercises, interactive activities, spaces for sharing and mutual support, as well as information about accessible mental health services and organizations. The project will also use non-formal education methods, digital storytelling, and interactive online formats to make the content more engaging and useful for young people.

An important part of the project will be the active involvement of young people themselves in the platform development process. During the initial stages, the partner organizations will conduct research among young people aged 15–29 in order to explore their needs, challenges, and perspectives related to mental health and access to support. The results will help ensure that the platform is developed not simply as an informational website, but as a truly useful and sustainable space for support and connection.

We believe that “NurtureU” will become an accessible, safe, and inspiring space that will help more young people feel heard, understood, and supported. The project is another step toward building a society where mental health is discussed openly, without stigma, and with greater care for the emotional well-being of young people.
