The Ecotopia project is an exciting initiative under the Erasmus+ Programme, specifically as a KA210-YOU Small-scale partnership in youth. This project centers around creating a sustainable city board game called "Ecotopia." The primary aim of the game is to educate and raise awareness among young people about sustainable environmental habits, critical aspects of climate change, and green living, all through interactive, engaging gameplay.

Project Objectives:
- Encouraging Active Engagement: The project aims to involve young people in social activities that promote environmental sustainability. By playing the game, participants will actively engage in discussions and actions toward a greener future.
- Developing Sustainable Habits: One of the key outcomes is to promote long-term environmental awareness and habits among youth by introducing them to the core principles of sustainability and the circular economy.
- Expanding Organizational Capacity: Both participating organizations—Get Involved (Bulgaria) and Eventures (Greece)—will enhance their transnational cooperation skills, increasing their ability to run international projects in the future.
- Stimulating Creativity and Critical Thinking: The project encourages young people to think critically about environmental issues, use their creativity to propose solutions, and actively participate in creating a new, sustainable world
Target Groups:
Target Groups:
- Young People (Ages 13-19): The project will engage youth interested in sustainable practices and those who are less familiar with green initiatives. Through playing the board game, they will gain insight into environmental sustainability and become more civically engaged.
- Youth Workers: This group includes educators, social workers, community organizers, and others working in youth development. They will facilitate game sessions and guide discussions, making the game a tool for non-formal education.
Partner Organizations:
- Get Involved (Bulgaria): An NGO focusing on youth engagement, non-formal education, and sustainable development. With extensive experience in European projects, Get Involved will lead the project, focusing on content development and coordination.
- Eventures (Greece): A social enterprise specializing in innovative event management, social entrepreneurship, and project design. Eventures will contribute expertise in promoting sustainability and active citizenship, ensuring the project reaches a broad audience.
Project Activities:
The Ecotopia project, led by Get Involved, will focus on the creation of a sustainable city board game through a series of collaborative workshops and development phases. The first workshop in Bulgaria will gather ideas and feedback from young people and stakeholders to establish the game's format and content. Following several months of development, with input from experts, the game will be translated into English, Bulgarian, and Greek. A second workshop in Greece will finalize the design, incorporating youth feedback to ensure the game is engaging and educational. The final phase will involve testing, refining, and disseminating the game online for free, with promotional events in both Bulgaria and Greece.
The Ecotopia Sustainability Game project is a dynamic, innovative approach to promoting environmental awareness among young people. By utilizing interactive gameplay, the project will foster critical thinking, creativity, and active participation in green initiatives. With the collaboration of experienced partners, the project aims to have a lasting impact on youth engagement and sustainable practices.
Stay tuned for more updates as the project progresses, and get ready to explore Ecotopia—a greener future, one game at a time!
